Fresh Off the Beat is, first and foremost, a hip-hop dance group. Our roots stem from UCF's Filipino Student Association. This group within FSA offers a chance for those who enjoy dancing, or would like to learn, the opportunity to partake in hip-hop performances within the UCF community, as well as other off-campus events-the biggest (and one of the most important) one being UF's Def Talent Jam Contest.

          This is not a professional group. We offer dancing at a level even a dancer with absolutely no experience can pick up on, so don't be intimidated to join. We're just a group looking to have fun through means of dancing. Not much of a dancer? Then come support us at our upcoming performances! It's as much fun to watch as it is to dance.

          Members of this group are from the original Funky Fresh Flip Squad (F3S), who debuted in VASA's Mid Autumn Moon Festival Show in 2004, the Pretty Binibini Pinays, who debuted in FSA's Sayaw: A Night of Filipino Culture Show in 2006, and members of FSA's Cultural Dance Troupe and those who competed under UCFFSA in the past Def Talent Jam competitions and ASA's Tour of Asia Show.

     In order to compete with Fresh Off the Beat in the Def Talent Jam contest, you MUST be a PAID member of the Filipino Student Association.
